Sometimes all those rants, and long baking days, reading and re-reading of recipes, the constant washing of bowl after bowl do pay off.
This past Monday while waiting for the traffic light to change on my comute to work, I was reading my email on my phone (oh, you do it too) and came across this:
Hi Monica,
We just posted an article, “77 Mouth-Watering Baking Blogs You Need to Bookmark” I thought I’d bring it to your attention in case you think your readers would find it interesting.
So, my first thought was “Oh, wow, nice… I will pass this one to my readers on the blog” my second thought was who is this? “They are probably going to try to sell me something or try to join their list… “
Can you tell I’m a bit cautious?
It was Monday, I’m always cautious on Mondays and during the morning hours of 7am to 10am, because I’m still sleep in my mind.
The I scrolled down a bit more….and read this:
I am happy to let you know that your site has been included in this list.
WHAT?!?
I read it again and again (it was a long traffic light).
I made a list? one that I did not actively pursued? How that happen?
Apparently, while I was baking, cooking, and taking pictures! (and doing dishes) and the Culinary Arts College blog thought we were deserving.
Wow folks, Sweetbites made the number 37 spot on the list.
Number THIRTY-FREAKING SEVEN!
I wish all of my Monday’s would start like this.
Go check it out… there are some serious food bloggers on that list - I’m sure that once you end at 77, you will have lots of reading to do.

Hi! You are far more organized than I am - while I did indeed read the list, I haven't had the time to visit each blog. Of course, some of them I already know, but for ones that I don't (like yours!) I am really glad you took the time to leave a comment, because now I've added you to my reader too!
