Snap Thursday - Beach Art

The picture above was one of many that we took during our trip to Isla Mujeres, Mexico back in June. There was a park at the end of the island, and it had various pieces donated from artist and countries around the world. Out of all of them, this one was my favorite.

It’s strong and powerful and I love how it stands there taking in the elements from the sea every day.

I can look at it over and over again, because doing so brings me a sense of relaxation and well being.

Weird right?

But then, maybe I also do it to convince myself that yes, we did take a vacation and wow-a where did the time go?

Has it been 2 months already?

It’s appropriate that I’m posting it on the first day of September, sort of like a closesure of our summer and an opening to our fall.

You can find others joining in the fun of Snap Thursday in Jenn Knitty Baker site.

Very cool! What a nice surprise to come across art at the seashore. When I saw your post title, I was expecting a sand castle. lol

@ Lois... that is funny, because once the post went live.. and I saw it on my reader (yes, I do have my own site in my reader - just for quality purpose) I totally thought - now people are going to think sand castle.. just you watch.... I guess I was right. :)

I do like this sculpture. It makes one think of strength and the ability to face anything that comes your way.
